The TP4056 Type-B 1A 5V Li-ion Battery Charger Module with Protection is a compact charging and protection board designed for safely charging a single 3.7V nominal Li-ion or LiPo rechargeable battery.
The module uses the TP4056 linear battery charger IC and accepts a nominal 5V DC input through its Micro-USB Type-B connector. It charges the battery using a constant-current/constant-voltage (CC/CV) charging process and regulates the final charging voltage to approximately 4.2V.
The protection version also incorporates a battery protection circuit, commonly based on a DW01A protection IC and dual MOSFET, providing protection against over-discharge, over-current and short-circuit conditions.
It is suitable for 18650 cells, Li-ion batteries, LiPo cells, DIY power banks, Arduino projects, IoT devices, portable electronics and rechargeable battery-powered projects.
