Build your own electric gliding machine with this DIY Electric Gliding Machine STEM Kit. This hands-on educational model combines wooden aircraft components, an electric motor, a propeller, a battery box and a four-wheel landing assembly.
The kit introduces students and hobbyists to the basic principles of aircraft construction, electric motor operation, propeller thrust and aerodynamics. Assemble the aircraft by fitting the wooden body and wings, installing the motor and propeller, and attaching the wheels and axles.
The accompanying product sheet explains how wing shape and airflow contribute to lift and gliding. This makes the kit a practical way to explore introductory concepts in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
The kit includes a battery box, motor, motor clamp, propeller with cap, mounting screws, two axles, four plastic wheels and a screwdriver, along with the wooden aircraft components.
