Description
  • The Raindrop Sensor detects rainwater using changes in resistance or conductivity when water droplets form conductive paths on the sensor plate.
  • The system consists of:
    1. Collector Plate: Detects raindrops and outputs variable resistance
    2. Control Module: Uses an LM393 voltage comparator to convert readings to analog or digital signals
  • The sensor outputs:
    • Analog signal proportional to rainfall intensity
    • Digital signal (0/1) for rain/no-rain detection
  • Commonly used in weather stations, smart irrigation, automatic window control, and safety automation systems.
