Description
  • The ACS712-5AMS-CURRENT-W is a Hall-effect based linear current sensor module, designed for accurate measurement of AC and DC currents up to ±5A.
  • Built around the ACS712ELC-05B sensor IC, this module integrates precision analog circuitry for stable and noise-free performance.
  • The Hall-effect sensing element detects the magnetic field produced by current flow, converting it into a proportional analog voltage output.
  • The output can be easily read by the analog-to-digital converter (ADC) of a microcontroller such as Arduino, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi Pico.
  • The sensor operates from a single 5V supply and outputs a centered voltage (~2.5V at zero current), which increases or decreases linearly with the current direction.
  • The FILTER pin allows users to set bandwidth via an external capacitor, enabling flexibility for noise-sensitive or high-speed applications.
